While there is no way that anyone can top Obama girl, I’ve been extremely impressed with the videos that have been coming out from the supporters of the various campaigns.
These are videos that have no direct affiliation to the campaigns, require no major ad buys, aren’t subject to the detailed requirements set by the FEC, but can have just as much, if not more impact than some of the candidates own ads. While the video below isn’t going to have the reach of “Obama Girl,” it definitely is catchy and has the ability to show people how the candidate is seen from the eyes of a non-paid supporter.
Of course, there is also a downside to this, that being when supporters of other campaigns put together videos that strongly oppose the other candidates, like this anti-McCain video below:
While I’m not the biggest fan of this video, it definitely does the job of creating a contrast. I’m hoping that better videos continue to roll out, and give the American people a different view of politics, from the eyes of regular Americans and not the eyes of multi-million dollar corporate media moguls.
