ICYMI: New Hampshire Union Leader — Sharon Day: The Democrats’ claim to be the party for women is just not believable

MY FELLOW Floridian and DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz sure has a knack for undercutting her own arguments. This month, she published a column saying Democrats could be trusted to fight cipla viagra for women’s priorities. I was preparing to write a response when she did my job for me.

She tried to attack Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who has a strong record of balancing budgets, fixing schools and getting people back to work. But instead of making any sort of reasonable argument on the issues, she said, “Scott Walker has given women the back of his hand.” She accused him of “grabbing us by the hair and pulling us back.”

Now I realize that Debbie opposes pharmacy online the governor’s policies to cut deficits, improve education and lower taxes. But to equate this to domestic violence is unacceptable (she later apologized). To draw some sort of parallel between his policies and the physical pain inflicted upon abused women is bizarre. She should know better than to belittle victims of domestic abuse.

It also brings up a larger issue. Democrats love to tell voters that only they can be trusted to address women’s priorities. Then they say or do something that reveals that’s just an empty promise. The DNC Chair isn’t alone. In fact, Democrat candidates across the country have been caught making sexist and demeaning remarks as they get increasingly desperate to win.

I’m one of millions of women who just don’t buy the rhetoric coming from the Democrat Party when they try to tell us that they have our back. I’ll put my trust in the likes of Lt. Col. Joni Ernst or Barbara Comstock or retired Col. Martha McSally or any of our great Republican candidates over Debbie Wasserman Schultz any day.
