RNC Beats DNC In Fundraising, Raises $80.6 Million In 2013
Raised $7.4 Million in December
WASHINGTON –– Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus today announced that the RNC raised $7.4 million in December 2013, bringing the total raised for the year to $80.6 million. The committee’s cash on hand totals $9.2 million.
The RNC has been investing its money early in community-based field staff, precinct-based organizing, and data and technology
that will help all Republican candidates up and down the ballot in 2014, 2016 and beyond.
“We easily outraised the DNC in 2013, meaning we entered 2014 in a position of strength and on solid financial footing,” said Chairman Priebus. “Thanks to the trust and support of all our donors, the RNC has been able to make strategic investments and build up our ground game earlier than ever before.
“We will continue to focus on building relationships and engaging with voters in communities across the country and on developing the best software and technology to close the digital divide.
“This infrastructure will not only pay dividends in
2014; it will also help us for years to come. So I want to express my gratitude to all who have supported this important work in the last year and look forward to continuing that work together.”
