Palin Rocks SNL

There was a great deal of hype leading into this week’s Saturday Night Live as Governor Sarah Palin was set to appear on the show.

Governor Palin did not disappoint as she led the show’s intro, along with Tina Fey. “Caribou Barbie” absorbed insults from an oblivious uber-liberal Alec Baldwin, who had mistaken Palin for Tina Fey. Palin held her own by proclaiming that Stephen is the best Baldwin. Governor Palin, unlike all the other politicos we have seen on the show, read her lines very naturally and was actually quite good.

The Weekend Update segment was perhaps the most telling. While Amy Poehler performed the “Palin Rap” (click here for video) the Governor grooved to the beat and, dare I say, appeared to have more moves than Senator Obama, who, it seems, cannot dance his way out of a paper bag.

Obama dancing…such as it is.
