While some might be offended by the objectification of women in this ad, from a PR point of view, this is a win/win situation for PETA. First, they get the attention of the media… I found out about it from Fox News. Second, they get the attention of their weakest demographic: Men.

So, love it or hate it, in today’s “sex sells” market, sometimes this is the extreme organizations will go to in order to get their message across.

It looks like New York Governor, David Paterson, is taking a new approach to stimulating the state’s economy. With this proposal, each dollar the taxpayers of New York spend on self stimulation, 4% of that will go towards stimulating Governor Paterson’s budget.

A state proposal to add a 4% tax for downloading movies and music will also apply to Internet porn.

Gov. Paterson recently suggested the so-called iPod tax to help close a $15 billion budget deficit, but few realized the levy would also apply to XXX-rated material.

This tax doesn’t just apply to adult film downloads, but instead applies to all downloaded media, including movies and music.

Unfortunately, this isn’t an unusual tax proposal in New York. This is also the same state that has proposed taxing Amazon transactions, as well putting a heavy tax on soda.

With that being said, I don’t see this proposal being the climax.

Bristol Palin with son Tripp

I found this interview rather amusing and a different approach at an attempt to promote abstinence among teenagers.

In an interview with Fox, Bristol Palin and son Tripp and Grandmother Sarah Palin discuss the ups and downs of teen pregnacy. Bristol Palin wants teenagers to take her advice on motherhood. Ms. Palin says, “kids should just wait. It’s — I don’t know. It’s not glamorous at all.”

She also notes that there is no stopping sex, so for all you soon-to-be teenage mothers out there, you should know that for Bristol, telling her parents was harder than labor.

I should also just mention for pure amusement that there were several unreliable claims during the 2008 Presidential campaign that Bristol was the mother of Trig (Sarah Palin’s youngest son and Bristol’s brother – not to be confused with Tripp, Bristol’s son and Sarah Palin’s grandson). America, Obama Water is now here.

We went into Whitley Market on the corner of Highland and Franklin on Saturday to buy some over-priced breath mints and there across from the Marilyn Monroe wine and the Elvis lighters was Obama Water.

The water could go nicely with the George Bush toilet paper our cousin sent us for Christmas. Which besides the fact that it’s just screaming ‘health care-less rash’ – was a very thoughtful gift.

Anyway, this is not exactly a political town – but we do like to capitalize on images of stars. Clearly.

To be honest, I find all of this fascinating and humorous at the same time. It’s fascinating to see so many people actually interested in American Politics, but it’s also extremely funny to see some of the cult-like products being developed to pay homage to our new leader.

I wont lie, the Obama sex-toy is probably the most mind boggling, but I guess some ladies want to feel change instead of just believing in it.

Maybe I’ll make my own line of Obama hand sanitizer or something.

The two giants, Larry Flynt (of Hustler) and Joe Francis (of Girls Gone Wild), claim that they are worthy of TARP funds because their industry has suffered a hard blow, with DVD sales going down 22% during this past year.

Francis sees his industry like the big three automakers, only BIGGER: “Congress seems willing to help shore up our nation’s most important businesses; we feel we deserve the same consideration.”

Francis says he’s going to D.C. to personally make the pitch. Sounds like someone has a bone to pick.

I think it’s safe to say that this is one money shot they probably wont get (though they might experience a surge in sales on a Member-by-Member basis), but it’s funny to see them try.

Though I must say, if the government ever decided to bail out this industry (which they obviously wont), you would see shares of Kleenex’s stock shoot through the roof.

While I don’t think that anyone is taking their efforts seriously, I think that it highlights the foolishness of these bailouts. I wouldn’t be shocked if there are dozens of other industries that have already sought their own bailouts, but haven’t made their way into the news.

Sarah Palin:

Sarah Palin is/was the mayor of a small redneck town in Alaska named Wasilla (Pop. 125 rednecks birthed by Bristol and 7500 moose). Apparently she is also Governor of Alaska and has spent her three days in office bilking the tax payers of money while staying at home. When she is not being a cocky wacko, Palin practices being a radical theocrat that makes Islamic Fundamentalists like freedom-fighter Osama Bin Laden exclaim “that bitch is out of control!” When not banning, or burning, books the former redneck beauty queen eats moose babies and tries to drown polar bears. She encourages Alaskan children to never have sex whilst covering up her teenage daughter‘s pregnancy; in fact it is possible that all five Palin children are actually Bristol‘s (including Bristol!). If elected as Vice-President, though her only qualification is not having an abortion (that we know of), she would force everyone in America to shoot all wildlife, attend her crazy nutty church and cover-up their daughters’ pregnancies while beating gays (while also pimping Track to gays to win votes) with banned books.

Todd Palin:

Todd Palin married Sarah Heath in 1988 and is possibly, maybe gay. Prior to marriage Todd drank heavily and raced snowmobiles drunk. Not too much is known about the “First Dude” beyond the fact he hates America and wants Alaska to secede from the Union presumably so he can spend Alaska’s vast oil wealth on platinum snowmobiles and “good“ beer like Miller.

Track Palin is Governor Palin’s oldest possible child and like his father is also, possibly, maybe gay. Track is a Soldier in the US Army and was forced to enlist by a judge to atone for his notorious criminal record involving vandalism, theft and possibly genocide. During his high school years, Track was a notorious Oxycontin addict who was also addicted to cocaine, heroin, meth and possibly Chinese babies’ eyes.  According to a guy in Wasilla, Track was an unredeemable sex addict who had his way with every teenage girl (when not being gay apparently) in the Mat-Su Valley. When not involved in drug induced orgies, young Palin was being an animal on the ice (maybe why the girls like him?) and forcing the other boys to steal for him in order to fund his drug habits. Currently PFC Palin is assigned to the 1st Stryker Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, 52nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Battalion, Delta Company, 2nd Platoon, 3rd Squad, Bravo team, second from the right. Bristol Palin:

Bristol is the oldest possible daughter of Sarah and Todd Palin. She is currently pregnant with her second child after giving birth to her brother Trig in secret. According to a guy in Wasilla, Bristol is a major slut that makes out with all the boys and drinks and smokes drugs heavily. When not having unprotected sex with her redneck baby-daddy Levi Johnstone, a hockey goon, who can kick you ass,  Bristol is giving birth to secret babies.

Trig Palin:

Trig is the son of Bristol Palin and Levi Johnstone(?) and was given birth in secret while Sarah Palin faked her pregnancy. Trig has downs syndrome and is currently being used as a political tool by his grandmother.

Other Palin Children:
They are all little Eichmanns.

If one were to believe all this one would wonder how such a notorious family could escape jail or notice! The sad part is, as outrageous as the descriptions may be, I didn’t have to make any of it up! Hows that for taking the high road?

Not only is Ashley Dupre a star for her encounters with Spitzer, but it turns out that she actually spent a week on the Girls Gone Wild Bus shortly after her 18th Birthday.

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) — Stop that $1 million check: It turns out the call girl linked to Eliot Spitzer had already shed her clothes for “Girls Gone Wild” as an 18-year-old while partying in Miami, Florida, the video company’s founder said Tuesday.

Joe Francis reached out to Ashley Alexandra Dupre, now 22, with an offer of $1 million to appear in a non-nude spread for his company’s new magazine, plus a chance to join the “Girls Gone Wild” tour bus, his company announced Tuesday.

But Francis said someone had a revelation at the Tuesday morning staff meeting: Did anyone think to check the archives?

They did, he said — and there she was.

“It’ll save me a million bucks,” Francis said Tuesday. “It’s kind of like finding a winning lottery ticket in the cushions of your couch.”

I don’t really think that Ashley Dupre is losing out here. Sure, she might not get the $1million that Joe Francis was offering, but she will probably make more pursuing other endeavors.

Hustler publisher Larry Flynt told AP Friday that he e-mailed Dupre offering her $1 million to appear nude in his magazine, but didn’t sound optimistic that she would settle for that amount. Flynt suggested that by the time Dupre starts talking, she may be too big a media phenomenon for a simple magazine spread.

“She is no doubt going to do a book. There will probably be a movie,” he said. “I think she is going to have so many offers coming in that it will probably be wishful thinking just to get in the door.”

To be honest, I didn’t even know that Larry Flynt was still alive. Even so, I’m sure that she can get much more money and attention by doing something in a more credible magazine.

As for the book and/or movie deal, I’m sure she’ll make a great deal of money telling her story to the masses. What I’m more curious about, is who else she has been with? If Spitzer in number 9, who are number 1 through 8?

Either way, good for Ashley Dupre. Doing Girls Gone Wild and then the Governor of New York has definitely created a new path for the “fast track to celebrity.”

I’m curious to see what her next move (or movie) is.

Update: Turns out she wasn’t even 18 during the filming of this video, though I don’t think that anyone is really surprised.

A lawyer for Ashley Alexandra Dupre, now 22, told The Associated Press on Wednesday that Dupre was 17 when the footage was filmed. After hearing from her attorney, the company said the video’s Internet release will be delayed.

Even so, Joe Francis can still take credit for setting her on the path to stardom. And who knows, maybe that $1million offer will be brought back to the table?

It should be noted that the data from this survey was gathered by Frank Luntz, who is by no means an amateur when it comes to figuring out how people feel about candidates and why they vote the way that they do.

While there is no doubt in my mind that Bill Clinton is probably a freak, I like to think that opposites attract, thus suggesting that Hillary lacks in that department.

However, the data seems to be quite accurate, nonetheless.

Keep in mind that while this data is for the February issue (which comes out in January), the data would have had to have been gathered sometime in early December. Who were the National front runners? That’s right, for the Democrats, Hillary Clinton and for the Republicans, Rudy Giuliani.

Now, this doesn’t suggest that people vote based on who they think is the most likely to talk dirty in bed, but I really think that the sex appeal of a candidate can really help them in the long run.

I’d be interested in seeing this survey run a on a monthly basis to see if there is any correlation between front runner status and sex appeal.

What I found remarkable, is who the respondents of this survey thought was the sexiest woman in politics.

WHAT?

Michelle Obama? Condoleea Rice? These are not to the two top names that come to mind in my opinion. How is it even feasible that Jeri Thompson came in 5th place with only 6.3% of the vote? Though, I’m guessing that the 4.4% that thought Fred Thompson talks dirty in bed probably attributes that to the fact that he was able to land a dime like Jeri Thompson.

I’m actually a bit surprised that Nancy Pelosi ranked lower than Hillary Clinton, I don’t know of many people who would disagree with me on that, regardless of political preference.

It’s a bit unfortunate that some of the most beautiful Republican women in Washington didn’t make the list. So, here are my honorable mentions, in no particular order:
