As a resident of the 6th District, i would not put too much stock in this race as an indicator of national sentiment. Jenkins is within shouting distance of being a complete crackpot. He's a one-trick pony who carries around plastic fetuses.

He needed the bazillions of national dollars just to get close. I would have been really unhapy if he had been elected.

I was generally pleased with Baker, I have no problem with Cazayoux.

For the record, if Clinton gets the nomination, I will vote for McCain. If it's Obama, I vote Obama.

I think the GOP definitely has an advantage in this election. The dubbing of the LA and MN races as indicators seems like a liberal media ploy to worry moderates and make them lean towards the Dem's who is painted as having a better image.

Nobody talks about all the false promises the Dems made to win the 2006 elections, though those wont ever be brought up.

Good post though, didn't know that Woody Jenkins was a Dem in another life.

While I agree that this isn't a representative race, don't you think it's kind of bad that the RNC spent over $1,000,000 on this race?

From what I've heard, and seen you post, the NRCC hasn't had the best luck fundraising this years.

Doesn't that mean that they wasted a significant portion of their funding on someone who hasn't even been loyal?
