I think far too often politicians simply ignore landing pages all together and assume that they are going to be able to drive people to their &quot;contact&quot; or &quot;join page.&quot; 

More than anything, the best thing for a candidate to do is simply let the campaign manager work with the web developer and trust that they are going to make the right decision. 

If you hire a reputable consultant who has done a vareity of campaigns in the past, just trust their judgement. If the landing pages are generating signups, no matter how uncomfortable they make you feel, just let it go.

Senator DeMint seems to be doing all the right things, and props for noticing the text/image... I have a feeling that just by changing that one component, he&#039;ll get signups that he wouldn&#039;t have gotten before, simply because he&#039;ll become more visible to search engines.</description>
